2020 Orillia Ontario Winter Games

The Ontario Games is the largest multi-sport event in the province and, for many athletes, is one of the highlights in their sporting careers. Wheelchair basketball is one of 27 sports included in the 2020 Ontario Winter Games program, and we are very excited to be part of the action!

Participants have been selected as part of the Team Ontario Junior provincial wheelchair basketball program and includes Junior-age athletes (e.g. 20 and under) preparing to compete at the 2020 Junior East Regional Championship on the road to the 2023 Canada Winter Games.

Step 1 – All athletes, coaches, team managers, and officials must complete their registration online through the Ontario Games portal. Registration must be completed by Monday January 27, 2020 at the latest.

Step 2Complete the ONPARA portion of the registration and submit your payment. Payment can be completed online using credit card or PayPal or in person by cheque or cash. If paying by cheque, please make it out to the Ontario Para Network and bring it with you to the Games.

Medal Ceremony

The tournament will be played in a 3×3 format and will follow the same rules used by Wheelchair Basketball Canada for the upcoming 2020 Junior East Regional Championship in Fredericton, NB.

4 teams of 6 athletes will compete in this 3×3 tournament. Athletes have been mixed together to create as even teams as possible for a fair and challenging competition.
