Senior Women’s Provincial Wheelchair Basketball Program

The Ontario Senior Women aim to compete every year in the CWBL Women’s National Championship against other women’s club teams and provincial teams from across Canada. The Ontario Development Women participate in the Défi Sportif, an annual multi-sport tournament held in Québec, as an opportunity  to further their development and help strengthen the next generation of Ontario wheelchair basketball players.

The Ontario Women’s Provincial Program (Team Ontario) brings together women and girls from across the province with the intent of fostering competition, development, leadership, and camaraderie among female wheelchair basketball players.

Athletes will have the opportunity to try out for Team Ontario at the beginning of every season in order to be selected to represent Ontario at Women’s Nationals or Défi. Tryout details & selection criteria will made available online and will be communicated to club coaches and athletes prior to selection camps.

The Women’s Provincial Program is led by a knowledgeable, qualified, enthusiastic, and dedicated coaching staff tasked with overseeing athlete development and program growth.
