Power Chair Hockey
Established in 2018, PowerHockey Toronto is a not-for-profit charitable organization that is ushering in the next generation of powerhockey para-athletes in the Toronto area. The league runs a weekly co-ed house league from October through May each year, providing athletes with various disabilities and skill levels who use a power wheelchair the opportunity to partake in a recreational, yet competitive sport. Each summer a select team of the top players is chosen to represent the league at a tournament. Beyond the hockey, the league fosters friendships, relationships, and a tight-knit community of lifelong friends.
Practice Location: Mitchell Field Community Centre, 89 Church Ave., North York, Ontario M2N 6C9
