COVID-19 ‘Return to Sport’ Update – January 31
CAUTIOUS AND GRADUAL EASE OF PUBLIC HEALTH MEASURES (January 31, 2022)
With key public health and health system indicators starting to show improvements, Ontario has released details of steps to cautiously and gradually ease public health measures, starting on January 31, 2022.
ONPARA has updated its ‘Return to Sport’ guidelines and Risk Mitigation documents in accordance with the Ontario Government’s newest ‘Returning to Our Plan to Safely Reopen Ontario’ measures. This information can be found on the COVID-19 Information and Resources page on our website.
It is important for us to continue being extra careful about COVID-19 protocols and guidelines at this time, even though we have been allowed to resume activities. The health and well-being of our members, including athletes, coaches, staff and volunteers, continues to be our number one priority.
Ontario will follow a cautious and phased approach to lifting public health measures, with 21 days between each step. The next updates are expected to come into effect on February 21, 2022.
