Wheelchair Basketball Referee Clinic
The OWSA is hosting a Wheelchair Basketball Referee Clinic on March 15th – March 16th 2019 at Brock University (Walker Complex) in efforts to train and recruit new officials to the sport of wheelchair basketball. The clinic will be led by two wheelchair basketball referees with over 40 years of experience and provide participants with an opportunity to learn how to referee the sport!
Participants will receive a full day of training (9am – 5pm) with the opportunity to officiate 5×5 wheelchair basketball tournament games as practice. They will receive instant feedback from the facilitators and get a copy of their officiating reel on a USB.
Hotels, food (breakfast and lunch), gas/parking expenses will all be covered for participants. There will be a small fee for participants ($25)
Once referees complete the clinic they will be eligible to referee house league and tournament wheelchair basketball games for the OWSA – but it’s not mandatory!
