FAQs
What should I bring?
Please bring your sport chair (if applicable), water bottle, and athletic clothing. Healthy snacks will be provided for all participants.
I don’t have my own sport chair. What do I do?
The OWSA will provide sport chairs for those who do not have access to their own. Simply register ahead of time and let us know you need us to bring you one!
What if I am over the age of 16? Can I still participate?
While this event is targeting ‘Minis’ age athletes, those over the age of 16 can also participate provided they are at a recreational skill level and aware that the activities will be geared towards younger participants.
I have never played wheelchair basketball before, but I want to give it a try. Can I still participate?
Absolutely! This is a perfect opportunity to try out the sport! You’ll learn basic skills and the rules of the game thanks to our helpful coaches, and you’ll get to play with lots of other new athletes – just like you!
Can my brother, sister, and/or best friend play with me?
Absolutely! This Festival is open to everyone! If they are willing to learn, and able to follow instruction and participate fully in a group environment, we’d love to have them!
Is there parking at the venue?
Free parking is available at the Haber Recreation Centre.
