Ron Joyce Intro to Wheelchair Sports Program

Are you interested in playing wheelchair sports? Here’s your chance!

This 8-week multi-sport program is geared towards learning the FUNdamentals of wheelchair sports such as wheelchair basketball and wheelchair tennis through games and activities. All equipment will be provided, and no experience is necessary! Open to participants of all ages and abilities. You are not required to be a daily wheelchair user to play wheelchair sports!

Dates: April 27 – June 22, 2020
Time: Mondays from 6:30 – 8:00pm
Location: Westmount Recreation Centre, 35 Lynbrook Drive, Hamilton

Membership Agreement *

Upon acceptance as a member of the Ontario Para Network, the applicant agrees to the rules and procedures of the Organization as approved through rules, by-laws, policies and regulations. Rowan’s Law makes it mandatory, as of July 1, 2019, for sport organizations to ensure that athletes under 26 years of age, parents of athletes under 18, coaches, team trainers and officials confirm every year that they have reviewed Ontario’s Concussion Awareness Resources, as well as establish a Concussion Code of Conduct that sets out rules of behaviour to support concussion prevention. Documents are available on the Membership page at www.onpara.ca.
