Ontario High Performance Camp

ONPARA and Wheelchair Basketball Canada are hosting a wheelchair basketball high performance training camp to kick off the 2019-2020 season! This camp is a skill development and identification opportunity open to male and female athletes, both with and without disabilities, over the age of 12 (born in or before 2007). Anyone interested in building their tactical and technical skills with goals of one day being part of Team Ontario and/or Team Canada are welcome to attend! Instruction will be led by WBC National Academy Director Michael Frogley alongside Ontario Junior Head Coach Kathy Ludwig and other Ontario coaches.

Team Ontario:
The Ontario HP Camp will also serve as the first try-out opportunity for Junior-age athletes looking to be selected to Team Ontario for the 2019-2020 season.
  • Interested athletes must be born in or after January 1, 1999.
  • The team is open to athletes of all genders, both with and without physical disabilities.

Following tryouts, a pool of selected athletes will train monthly from October – February prior to final selections. Those selected will go on to represent Ontario at the 2020 Junior East Regional Championship in New Brunswick in March, 2020.
