Quest For Gold Testing

All wheelchair basketball athletes interested in applying for Quest for Gold funding for the 2018-2019 season are required to complete on-court testing in order to be considered by the Quest For Gold Selection Committee. This requirement is mandated by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture & Sport and supported by the OWSA as a means of collecting quantifiable, measurable data which will be used as part of the selection process.

Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Testing will be overseen by WBC Academy Director Mike Frogley and Junior Provincial Head Coach Kathy Ludwig. Tests will include (but are not limited to):

  • 20m sprint (speed)
  • Partner pylon passing (passing/catching)
  • Shuttle (agility)
  • U-Turns (chair skills)
