Casting Call for Meningitis Awareness

Seeking infants, children, teens, and young adults of diverse ethnic backgrounds who have experienced meningitis

We at Mark Summers Casting are looking for individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds who have suffered from meningococcal disease (also known as meningitis) and would like to share their experience with others as advocates for vaccinating against this disease in partnership with a pharmaceutical company.

We are looking for people aged between 6 months old and 22 years old who have had the illness and have visible consequences of the disease such as scarring, missing limbs, prosthetics, or hearing aids. (Both parents will need to sign permission forms for a child to participate). We want to work with survivors who enjoy inspiring others and being advocates for meningitis prevention to ensure others do not suffer from the same illness. We are also very interested in involving family members to share their perspectives in the form of parent testimonials etc.

This campaign is sponsored by Glaxo Smith Kline as they are funding the project, however it is not promoting or advertising any specific vaccine or drug. It is solely to promote the awareness and the option to seek advice from a doctor or professional on the options available to them. It will run on TV, social media and other channels in countries around the world.

Compensation: The project will pay well & all expenses will be covered.

Dates: Due to Covid 19 the dates of the shoot depend on whether it is safe and suitable, ideally around August. Each person will only be required for 1 to 2 days of production.
