Calling All Youth in the Hamilton Area!
Leave a CommentIn partnership with the City of Hamilton, we will be offering a four week introduction to wheelchair basketball program at the Westmount recreation centre.
This program will introduce the fundamentals of wheelchair basketball. Focusing on fun, team work and basic skills, participants and their siblings will have the opportunity to learn new skills in a non-competitive environment.
Note: Participants are NOT required to bring their own Sport Wheelchair. Chairs will be provided for the duration of the class.
Location: Westmount Recreation Centre
Date: Saturday November 28, 2015 – 4 week duration
Time: 1:15 – 2:15 pm
Age: 6 -12

Quest for Gold – Athletics & Tennis
Leave a CommentQ4G Athlete Selection Criteria is now available for Cycle 2 sports: Wheelchair Athletics and Wheelchair Tennis.
Please visit the Quest for Gold page for details. Deadline for applications is December 5, 2015. A list of draft nominees for cycle 1 sports has now been posted on the Quest for Gold page under the Programs & Events tab.
Adaptive Multi-Sport Program
Leave a CommentThe City of Mississauga is running a new Adaptive Multi-sport Program. The program will introduce kids (age 6 to12) to para sports.
The program starts October 24th and has a fee of $40.60 for residents of Mississauga and $50.60 for non-residents. More information about the Adaptive Multi-Sport Program in Mississauga here.

Leave a CommentWe wanted to send out a special thank-you to two amazing girls from Stittsville, Ontario. As part of a grade 6 class project at Westwind Public School, Kamdyn and Lauren have raised over $330 dollars for the Ontario Wheelchair Sports Association!
They made delicious treats to sell at a bake sale and received numerous donations. Thank you girls for your amazing efforts in raising awareness for our outreach and first contact program, Bridging the Gap!
